Step | Description |
---|---|
Heat | Heat fresh water to 200°F (or bring to a boil and let it stand for 30 seconds). |
Set-Up | Place the AeroPress plunger upside down on a flat surface. Attach the lower chamber to the plunger. Insert a paper filter into the cap and wet it with hot water to help it stick. |
Measure | Add 20 grams (about 4 tablespoons) of ground coffee into the chamber. Shake to level the grounds. |
Pour | Pour 200 ml of hot water into the chamber. Stir for 10 seconds to ensure all the grounds are saturated. |
Invert | Twist the cap onto the chamber and carefully invert the AeroPress over a sturdy mug. |
Plunge | Press the plunger gently and steadily until it reaches the coffee grounds. |
Serve | Remove the cap, discard the grounds, and rinse the AeroPress. Dilute the coffee with water if desired, and serve semi-hot. |
